Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and tickets in the SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) system for potential threats.
- Perform log analysis and correlation to identify suspicious activity.
- Assist in the documentation of security incidents and post-incident reports.
- Support vulnerability assessments and patch management processes.
- Participate in security awareness training and phishing simulations.
- Collaborate with the IT team to secure network infrastructure.
- Conduct basic penetration testing exercises and red team exercises under supervision.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of computer networks (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Eagerness to learn and obtain industry certifications (e.g., Security+, Network+).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
