Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats.
- Assist in the configuration and maintenance of firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support under senior supervision.
- Support incident response activities, including log collection and preliminary analysis.
- Document security incidents, configurations, and procedures to ensure compliance with internal policies.
- Participate in security awareness training and help educate non-technical staff on basic security best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, OSI Model, and subnetting.
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems and command-line interfaces.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and scripting (PowerShell or Python) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
