Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct preliminary analysis of malware and suspicious network activities.
- Support vulnerability assessments and penetration testing efforts.
- Document security incidents and prepare detailed incident reports.
- Participate in regular security awareness training and tabletop exercises.
- Collaborate with senior analysts to remediate identified threats and vulnerabilities.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and threat intelligence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) is required.
- Understanding of basic security principles (CIA Triad).
- Strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to obtain industry certifications (e.g., Security+) within the first year.
- Basic knowledge of Linux or Windows operating systems.
