Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring and analyzing security alerts and events to identify potential threats.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of firewalls, IDS/IPS, and antivirus solutions.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and help remediate security gaps in internal systems.
- Document security incidents, procedures, and system configurations accurately.
- Participate in security awareness training and drills for the organization.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure compliance with internal policies and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Familiarity with security concepts such as encryption, authentication, and access control.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and learn new security tools rapidly.
- Certifications like CompTIA Security+, Network+, or Security+ are a significant plus but not required.
