Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Assist with vulnerability scanning and penetration testing exercises
- Document security incidents and maintain audit logs
- Participate in security awareness training for employees
- Support incident response procedures during security events
- Analyze malware samples and threat intelligence reports
- Conduct basic network traffic analysis
- Collaborate with IT teams on security hardening initiatives
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Familiarity with Windows/Linux operating systems
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
