Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed case files
- Participate in vulnerability scanning and patch management processes
- Assist with firewall and intrusion detection system configurations
- Conduct basic threat intelligence research and reporting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security initiatives
- Adhere to NIST and ISO security frameworks
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving threats
- CompTIA Security+ or similar certification preferred (training provided)
