Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel) to detect and respond to threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough investigations of security incidents and execute incident response plans to minimize business impact.
- Manage and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems to ensure network integrity.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis to proactively identify weaknesses.
- Develop, implement, and update security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation (NIST, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related IT field.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, or Security+ required; GCIH or CISM preferred.
- Strong proficiency with SIEM technologies (Splunk, QRadar, Azure Sentinel) and threat intelligence platforms.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, encryption standards, and attack vectors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to executive stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain situational awareness during security events.
