- Develop and execute 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligned with 2026 market forecasts
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype next-gen solutions (AI/ML, IoT, Web3)
- Analyze emerging tech patents and academic research to identify competitive opportunities
- Present strategic briefings to C-suite and board stakeholders on tech adoption risks/rewards
- Manage $2M+ R&D budgets for experimental technology incubation projects
- Establish KPIs measuring tech ROI and ecosystem impact
- Mentor junior engineers on futuristic technology implementation
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech strategy, product development, or R&D leadership
- Expertise in at least 2 emerging tech domains (quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, etc.)
- Proven track record of launching products with 5+ year market foresight
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Certifications in technology forecasting (e.g., Gartner, Forrester) preferred
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants (SBIR, DARPA)
- Portfolio demonstrating scalable tech architecture for future-proof systems
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
