Responsibilities

- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging technologies with exponential potential
- Establish ethical frameworks for deployment of autonomous systems and neurotech
- Secure $2M+ annual R&D budget through compelling stakeholder presentations
- Publish thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals and industry whitepapers
- Mentor junior researchers in speculative design methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Biotechnology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership at Fortune 500 scale
- Published research in quantum computing or generative AI ethics
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technology trends (Singularity University preferred)
- Strong financial modeling skills for R&D portfolio optimization
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., foresight methodology training)
- Fluency in Mandarin or German for global collaboration
