Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for alerts and suspicious activities.
- Assist senior analysts in conducting vulnerability assessments and security audits.
- Document security incidents, maintain accurate logs, and create detailed reports.
- Support the implementation of security patches, updates, and configuration changes.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure compliance with internal security policies and industry standards.
- Participate in tabletop exercises and red team/blue team simulations to enhance threat awareness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- A strong interest in network security, ethical hacking, and information assurance.
- Basic understanding of computer networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP).
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- CompTIA Security+, Network+, or IT Fundamentals certification is a plus but not mandatory.
