Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for anomalous activity
- Document and escalate security incidents following established protocols
- Assist with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Participate in security awareness campaigns and training initiatives
- Update and maintain security documentation and asset inventories
- Collaborate with IT teams on security hardening of systems
- Stay current on emerging threats through threat intelligence feeds
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows/Linux)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- CompTIA Security+ or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Ability to work rotating shifts for 24/7 operations center
