Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Assist with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing initiatives
- Document security incidents using standardized incident response protocols
- Support compliance audits and risk mitigation documentation processes
- Analyze network traffic patterns to identify potential security threats
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security awareness campaigns
- Participate in incident response drills and tabletop exercises
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
