Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events within the SIEM environment.
- Conduct daily vulnerability scans and security assessments on internal systems.
- Assist in the investigation of potential security breaches and incidents.
- Document security procedures, policies, and incident reports accurately.
- Collaborate with network engineering teams to patch vulnerabilities and harden network defenses.
- Support compliance audits and regulatory requirements (e.g., NIST, ISO).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent military experience).
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
- Familiarity with networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and VPNs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check.
