Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms for security incidents and generate daily threat intelligence reports
- Perform vulnerability assessments using Nessus and Qualys scanners
- Assist with incident response documentation and forensic analysis preparation
- Implement basic firewall rules and access control policies in Cisco ASA environments
- Conduct phishing simulations and security awareness training for internal teams
- Participate in penetration testing exercises under senior analyst guidance
- Document security procedures and maintain compliance with NIST frameworks
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or within 90 days of hire)
- Fundamental knowledge of TCP/IP networking and Windows/Linux systems
- Basic scripting experience with Python or PowerShell
- Understanding of common attack vectors (MITRE ATT&CK framework)
- Ability to work rotating on-call shifts during critical incidents
- Excellent written communication skills for documentation and reporting
- Passion for continuous learning and staying current on emerging threats
