Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for security alerts and anomalous network behavior
- Document and escalate security incidents following NIST and ISO 27001 protocols
- Conduct vulnerability scans using Nessus and Qualys tools
- Assist with penetration testing and security control validation
- Generate daily SOC activity reports for leadership review
- Participate in tabletop exercises and threat simulations
- Support GDPR and HIPAA compliance initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification preferred
- Familiarity with TCP/IP networking fundamentals
- Basic knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems
- Experience with SIEM tools or security monitoring platforms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Must be able to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 environment
