Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Assist in implementing security controls and maintaining compliance frameworks
- Document security incidents and contribute to incident response playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch systems and mitigate vulnerabilities
- Stay current on emerging threats through continuous research and training
- Participate in security awareness initiatives across the organization
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Familiarity with security tools like Wireshark, Metasploit, or Nessus
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced environments
