Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious network activity
- Investigate and document security incidents following established protocols
- Assist in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and patches
- Generate daily security reports and alert summaries for leadership review
- Participate in tabletop exercises to refine incident response procedures
- Stay current on emerging threats through continuous training programs
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent foundational certification
- Basic understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Familiarity with Windows/Linux operating systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts in 24/7 security operations environment
- Valid U.S. work authorization required
