Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and prioritize incident response
- Perform vulnerability scans and penetration testing under senior guidance
- Document security incidents and maintain compliance with NIST frameworks
- Analyze network traffic logs to detect anomalous activities
- Assist in developing security policies and procedures
- Participate in security awareness training and phishing simulations
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (preferred)
- Familiarity with TCP/IP networking concepts
- Basic knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems
- Understanding of common security tools (Wireshark, Nmap)
