Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate cybersecurity incidents and document findings in SOAR systems
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Assist in implementing security controls and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Create incident response reports and mitigation recommendations
- Participate in threat intelligence analysis and threat hunting activities
- Collaborate with IT teams to enhance network security posture
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Basic knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and operating systems
- Familiarity with security tools: Wireshark, Nmap, Metasploit
- Understanding of common attack vectors and defense mechanisms
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Eligibility to work in the United States
