Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Assist with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing initiatives
- Document security incidents and contribute to incident response playbooks
- Analyze network traffic patterns to identify potential threats
- Collaborate with senior analysts on security control implementations
- Stay current with emerging cyber threats and defense techniques
- Participate in tabletop exercises and security awareness campaigns
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Basic understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Must be a US citizen or eligible for ITAR compliance
