Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Assess vulnerabilities through penetration testing and security audits
- Incident response coordination including documentation and root cause analysis
- Implement firewall configurations and access control policies
- Generate security reports for stakeholders and compliance documentation
- Collaborate with IT teams on security awareness training initiatives
- Stay current on emerging threats and mitigation techniques
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (or working towards)
- Familiarity with NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Basic knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Understanding of common attack vectors (phishing, malware, DDoS)
- Proficiency in Linux/Windows command-line environments
- Excellent written communication and analytical problem-solving skills
