Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate security incidents using digital forensics tools
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Document security incidents and maintain compliance logs
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls
- Participate in tabletop disaster recovery simulations
- Stay current with emerging threats and mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (or willing to obtain within 90 days)
- Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Basic understanding of Windows/Linux operating systems
- Experience with security tools (Wireshark, Nmap, Burp Suite)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 environment
- Valid U.S. government security clearance eligibility (required)
