Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events using SIEM tools like Splunk.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Investigate and remediate security breaches and incidents according to incident response protocols.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security best practices into software development and network architecture.
- Generate and present security reports to management and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are strongly preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or a related technical role.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Experience with threat intelligence and malware analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
