Role Overview: In this role, you will be the first line of defense against cyber threats, ensuring our data integrity and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and penetration testing.
- Implement and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and endpoint security controls.
- Investigate security breaches and coordinate incident response procedures with the IT team.
- Ensure strict compliance with internal policies and external regulatory frameworks (e.g., NIST, HIPAA).
- Configure and tune SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools for optimal threat detection.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Certification such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security analysis.
- Strong knowledge of SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts clearly.
- Willingness to stay current with the latest cybersecurity trends and threats.
