Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems 24/7, focusing on weekend shift coverage
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents, including malware analysis and threat hunting
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Generate incident reports and security dashboards for leadership review
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to remediate security gaps
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations, with weekend shift experience preferred
- Industry certifications: CISSP, CEH, or Security+ (required)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong understanding of MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat intelligence
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
