Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and analyze network traffic using SIEM tools to identify potential threats
- Investigate security incidents, determine scope, and coordinate remediation efforts
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of systems
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry trends through continuous research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and cloud security architectures
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaboration
