Responsibilities
- Monitor enterprise networks and security systems 24/7 during weekend shifts using Splunk and ArcSight
- Investigate and respond to security incidents including malware, phishing, and unauthorized access
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Generate comprehensive incident reports and recommend remediation actions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during security events and major incident responses
- Maintain security documentation and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST CSF)
- Conduct forensic analysis of security breaches and digital evidence
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in SOC operations or incident response experience
- Active CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S) and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Knowledge of threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for incident reporting
