Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents with rapid containment protocols
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Document security incidents and maintain forensic evidence chains
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on threat intelligence and mitigation strategies
- Implement security controls and recommend system hardening measures
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation during assigned weekends
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years in SOC operations or incident response roles
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewall, IDS/IPS)
- Experience with threat hunting and malware analysis
- Strong knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Ability to work independently under pressure during weekend shifts
- Valid U.S. government security clearance preferred
