Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms and analyze security alerts for weekend shift operations
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents in real-time
- Perform vulnerability scans and patch management for weekend maintenance windows
- Collaborate with on-call engineers during critical security events
- Document incident reports and security findings for handover to weekday team
- Conduct weekend penetration testing and security audits
- Stay updated on emerging threats and weekend-specific attack vectors
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with weekend shift exposure
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or CompTIA Security+)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight)
- Knowledge of NIST frameworks and incident response protocols
- Experience with network security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently
- Valid U.S. government security clearance preferred
