Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems 24/7 with focus on weekend shifts
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents including malware, phishing, and unauthorized access
- Conduct vulnerability scans and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Document security incidents, mitigation actions, and maintain detailed audit logs
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and security technologies through continuous learning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong analytical skills with ability to prioritize threats under pressure
- Experience working in shift-based security environments preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
