Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and investigate potential threats
- Perform incident response, including containment, eradication, and recovery procedures
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Generate comprehensive security incident reports and executive summaries
- Collaborate with IT teams to enhance security posture and compliance frameworks
- Stay current with emerging threats and security best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CompTIA Security+)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, network security, and threat intelligence
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts (Fri-Sun)
- Experience with compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
