Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate cybersecurity incidents and coordinate response protocols
- Conduct vulnerability scans and penetration testing on weekend systems
- Update and maintain security documentation and playbooks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during security incidents
- Implement firewall rules and access control policies
- Generate weekly security reports for leadership review
Qualifications
- 3+ years cybersecurity experience in SOC or incident response
- CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification required
- Expertise in threat detection and mitigation techniques
- Proficiency with Windows/Linux environments and network protocols
- Experience with NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Valid US government security clearance preferred
