Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for security incidents and anomalies
- Conduct forensic investigations of security breaches and cyberattacks
- Implement and manage firewall configurations, IDS/IPS systems, and endpoint protection
- Document security incidents, mitigation actions, and compliance reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during incident response
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Stay current with emerging threats and security best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or SOC environment
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM tools, network protocols, and cloud security
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST, MITRE ATT&CK)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts
- Preferred: GIAC certifications (GCIH, GCFA) or AWS/Azure security certs
