Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across SIEM platforms during weekend shifts
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents including malware outbreaks and intrusion attempts
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Implement and maintain security controls for network infrastructure and cloud environments
- Document security incidents and create detailed incident response reports
- Collaborate with on-call engineers to resolve complex security issues
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with weekend shift preference
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong incident response experience with malware analysis
- Knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure) and compliance frameworks
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Valid driver's license for occasional on-site requirements
