Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, FireEye).
- Conduct real-time threat hunting and investigate potential security breaches.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support.
- Respond to and remediate security incidents according to established protocols.
- Enforce security policies and ensure compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and DoD standards.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to patch vulnerabilities and improve network resilience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or Network Security.
- Certifications: Security+, CEH, GCIH, or CISSP preferred.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, network protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Experience with automated security tools and scripting (Python/Bash) is a plus.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret or Top Secret clearance.
