Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events via SIEM (Splunk, QRadar, etc.) to detect potential breaches.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Respond to security incidents and manage the incident response lifecycle effectively.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure configuration of networks and applications.
- Conduct regular security audits and compliance checks (GDPR, HIPAA, NIST).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certification such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security analysis.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure during incident response.
