Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct forensic investigations on security incidents and breaches
- Develop and maintain security documentation including policies and playbooks
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing initiatives
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Manage incident response procedures and coordinate remediation efforts
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry compliance requirements (NIST, ISO 27001)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC environments
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH) strongly preferred
- Proficiency in network security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and malware analysis
- Ability to work under pressure during security incidents and maintain clear communication
