Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, or Sentinel).
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware, ransomware, and phishing attacks.
- Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis.
- Configure, maintain, and audit firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN solutions.
- Ensure strict compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and internal security policies.
- Conduct regular security awareness training for employees.
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and harden systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or Incident Response role.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH preferred.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and network protocols.
- Proficiency in Python or Bash scripting is a significant plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and 24/7 on-call rotation.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
