Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) to identify potential threats.
- Conduct forensic analysis and incident response to contain and remediate security breaches efficiently.
- Manage and configure firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems to secure network perimeters.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in the organization's infrastructure.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) across the organization.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement secure coding practices and patch management.
- Provide security awareness training and guidance to employees to reduce human error risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a SOC or cybersecurity analyst role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or CompTIA Network+ are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and common attack vectors.
- Proficiency with Python or Bash scripting for automation and log analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high degree of autonomy.
