Urgent Hiring: Cybersecurity Analyst in Philadelphia, PA
Apex Sentinel Systems is looking for a talented and motivated Cybersecurity Analyst to join our elite defense team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for protecting our organization's digital assets from evolving cyber threats. We are seeking a proactive professional who thrives in a high-pressure environment and is passionate about maintaining the highest standards of data integrity and security.
As a key member of our Security Operations Center (SOC), you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify vulnerabilities, respond to incidents, and implement robust security protocols.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM tools to detect and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits to identify system weaknesses.
- Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and develop remediation strategies.
- Configure and manage network security devices, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and GDPR.
- Develop and maintain documentation for security policies, procedures, and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Active certification such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, network protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Proficiency with security tools and technologies (e.g., Splunk, FireEye, Snort, Check Point).
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex security findings to stakeholders.
