Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct daily vulnerability scans, penetration testing support, and security assessments to ensure system integrity.
- Configure and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and endpoint protection solutions.
- Respond to and investigate security incidents, documenting findings and facilitating remediation efforts.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, NIST) across organizational networks.
- Collaborate with the broader IT team to implement security patches and upgrades.
Qualifications
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network security, incident response, or a related field.
- Proficiency with security tools including Splunk, Wireshark, or FireEye.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VPNs, and common attack vectors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and team collaboration.
- Ability to work independently with a flexible schedule in a remote or hybrid environment.
