Responsibilities
- Conduct vulnerability scans and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Monitor SIEM dashboards and respond to security alerts in real-time
- Document security incidents and generate executive-level reports
- Implement and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and encryption protocols
- Collaborate with IT teams on security policy development and compliance (GDPR, HIPAA)
- Stay current on emerging threats and threat intelligence sources
Qualifications
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (CEH, CISSP Associate preferred)
- 1+ years of hands-on security operations or network administration experience
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and vulnerability scanners (Nessus, Qualys)
- Familiarity with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid U.S. driver's license for occasional on-site client visits
