Responsibilities
- Monitor & Detect: Continuously monitor Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems to detect, analyze, and respond to potential cyber threats and security incidents in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and remediation of security breaches, ensuring minimal impact on business operations and rapid recovery.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability scans, penetration tests, and risk assessments to identify weaknesses in our network architecture and software systems.
- Security Controls: Configure, manage, and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and access controls to enforce security policies.
- Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to industry standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, NIST, and ISO 27001 through regular audits and policy reviews.
- Security Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on security best practices and phishing awareness.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation of security events and remediation activities.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related IT role.
- Certifications: Active CISSP, Security+, CEH, or similar industry-recognized certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar), firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto), and endpoint protection solutions.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud security concepts (AWS/Azure).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
