Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) during night shift hours
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents with SOAR automation tools
- Conduct threat hunting activities using MITRE ATT&CK framework methodologies
- Document incident reports and maintain compliance with NIST 800-53 standards
- Collaborate with day-shift analysts for seamless security operations handover
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Develop playbooks for emerging threat vectors and zero-day exploits
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with SOC analyst background
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA CySA+ certification required
- Proficiency in network security tools (Snort, Wireshark, Suricata)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux system administration
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Excellent written communication for incident reporting and documentation
- CompTIA PenTest+ or CEH certification preferred
