Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across enterprise networks, cloud infrastructure, and endpoints using SIEM tools (Splunk/Symantec)
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents including malware, phishing, and DDoS attacks
- Conduct forensic analysis of security breaches to determine attack vectors and implement remediation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to patch vulnerabilities and strengthen security posture
- Generate comprehensive incident reports and executive summaries for leadership
- Stay current with emerging threats and zero-day vulnerabilities through continuous research
- Participate in tabletop exercises and penetration testing to validate security controls
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC, incident response, or threat hunting
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required (GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms, IDS/IPS systems, and network analysis tools
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols, Windows/Linux systems, and cloud architectures (AWS/Azure)
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Ability to work independently under pressure during critical incident response
- Valid US government security clearance (or ability to obtain)
