Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms and analyze security alerts 24/7 with rapid incident response
- Investigate and remediate cyber threats including malware, ransomware, and intrusion attempts
- Perform vulnerability scans and patch management for critical infrastructure
- Collaborate with day-shift teams on threat intelligence and incident documentation
- Conduct forensic analysis on security events and compile detailed reports
- Implement firewall rules and access controls to strengthen network defenses
- Stay current on emerging threats and zero-day vulnerabilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in SOC operations or cybersecurity monitoring
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, or GIAC preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR platforms
- Experience with threat detection methodologies (NIST, MITRE ATT&CK)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently under pressure
- Excellent written communication for incident reporting
