Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms and analyze security alerts during night shift hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents including malware, phishing, and network intrusions
- Conduct forensic analysis of security events and document detailed incident reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and preventive measures
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Stay current with emerging threats and contribute to threat intelligence reports
- Participate in emergency response drills and security awareness training
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint security
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (e.g., Recorded Future, MISP)
- Ability to work independently during night shift with minimal supervision
- Valid U.S. government security clearance preferred
