Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events within the SIEM platform.
- Conduct daily vulnerability assessments and perform penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, including malware analysis and phishing attempts.
- Configure and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs to enforce network security policies.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to patch vulnerabilities and secure cloud environments.
- Generate and present regular security reports to stakeholders and management.
- Stay updated on emerging threats and industry best practices to continuously improve defense strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Certification such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC is highly preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Proficiency with security tools (e.g., Splunk, FireEye, CrowdStrike, or similar SIEM tools).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced 24/7 SOC environment.
