Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Response: Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents 24/7 using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to mitigate threats in real-time.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits to identify and remediate system weaknesses.
- Network Security: Configure and manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and VPNs to secure network perimeters.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to regulatory standards such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and internal security policies.
- Incident Analysis: Perform post-incident analysis to root cause security breaches and document lessons learned for future prevention.
- Security Awareness: Collaborate with IT teams to implement security best practices across the organization.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or SANS GCIH are highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and network protocols.
- Tools: Proficiency in security tools (FireEye, Snort, Splunk, or similar).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical thinking and crisis management abilities.
