Responsibilities
- Monitor security events using SIEM tools and investigate potential threats
- Conduct incident response coordination including containment and remediation
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Develop and maintain security documentation including policies and playbooks
- Analyze malware and malicious activities using forensic tools
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Generate security reports and brief stakeholders on emerging risks
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in a SOC environment
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence tools
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61, etc.)
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, NIST CSF)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to prioritize threats in real-time
